Giorgio Tripodi joins the Institute of Economics of the Sant’Anna School and EMbeDS as a Research Fellow

Giorgio Tripodi has joined the Institute of Economics of the Sant’Anna School and EMbeDS as a Research Fellow.

Giorgio is a Ph.D. candidate in Data Science - a joint PhD program which comprises five research institutions: Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, University of Pisa, CNR (STI and IIT institutes) and IMT Lucca. Previously, he was a visiting scholar at the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University-Evanston), where he joined the Center for Science of Science and Innovation. He worked as a research analyst at Bocconi University (Milan), as a summer intern at Grameen Bank (Dhaka) and was an exchange student at Université Libre de Bruxelles (Brussels).

He received a M.Sc. in Economics from Bocconi University in 2015 and a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Naples - Federico II in 2012. His research interests include science of science, network science and economics of innovation, with a focus on how knowledge, social and geographical proximity affects scientific discovery and innovation.
